Apprenticeship as a cutting machine operator (m/f/d) for 2026

As a recognized specialist in machining, we manufacture high-precision components for machine tools and plant engineering as well as for large diesel engines.

For our location in Aalen Wasseralfingen, we are looking for committed and reliable apprentice cutting machine operators (m/f/d) for the start of training in 2026

You can look forward to that:

  • 35-hour working week (Fridays only until 12:00 noon)
  • Remuneration according to collective agreement
  • Exam preparation with experienced trainers and colleagues from the field
  • Large training workshop, equipped with original SHW machine tools
  • Several fellow trainees

Your tasks:

  • Setting up and equipping machine tools and production systems
  • Creating programs for CNC machines to process components
  • Manufacturing components according to technical drawings
  • Documentation and control of work results

What you bring with you:

  • You already have a (qualified) secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent in your pocket
  • You are a skilled craftsman and want to be able to read technical drawings
  • You are characterized by spatial awareness and a meticulous way of working

Duration of training:

  • 3.5 years

As a cutting machine operator (m/f/d), you will learn the basics of metalworking during your 3.5-year apprenticeship. In addition to turning, milling and drilling, you will also learn how to work with hydraulics and pneumatics. Your area of responsibility will become larger and more extensive with each year of your apprenticeship. You will plan and organize machining processes, set up machining production systems and monitor production processes.
