MATEC: Shareholder of SHW Werkzeugmaschinen takes over the machine and plant manufacturer from Köngen

▪ The shareholder of SHW Werkzeugmaschinen and SHW Bearbeitungstechnik, the family office SFO-N GmbH from Munich, is taking over the service business and business-supporting functions of MATEC – the Köngen site and around 40 jobs will be retained.
▪ Around 1,800 MATEC machines are in use worldwide – customers can now rest assured that they will continue to receive service for their machines.
▪ MATEC Service GmbH complements the mechanical engineering portfolio of restructuring specialist SFO-N.
Munich/Köngen/Aalen. Even in a difficult market environment, the family office SFO-N is sticking to its growth course in the plant and mechanical engineering sector and is strengthening its portfolio by acquiring MATEC. Wolfgang Schepp, Managing Partner of the SFO Group, and insolvency administrator Dr. Dietmar Haffa from Schultze & Braun have agreed to take over the service business of Köngen-based machine and plant manufacturer MATEC, which was founded in 1992, with effect from March 1, 2025. The new company will operate under the name MATEC Service GmbH. The Köngen site and around 40 jobs will be retained with this solution.
